SBR Softball Association Volunteer Bond Policy
Purpose: SBR Softball Association is run exclusively by VOLUNTEERS. As our association continues to grow, a continued commitment from our members is necessary for our association to be able to operate effectively. The purpose of the volunteer bond program is to encourage more of our membership to become actively involved in making our association the best it can be.
Overview: Every player will be required to provide SBR with a Volunteer Bond. Each Family must provide 4 hours of volunteer time to SBR.
This bond is a commitment to provide service or money towards the operation and continued success of the organization.
A Volunteer Bond Agreement Form and a post-dated cheque made out to SBR Softball for June 15th of the season year in the
amount of $250 per player will be required at the player's evaluation or uniform pick up.
Players without a signed form and cheque will be unable to pick up uniforms.
It is important that the cheque includes the first and last names of the players.
Your cheque will be destroyed at the end of the season if you have fulfilled your volunteer commitment.

SBR Volunteer Information – Evaluations
We require parents to volunteer to make our evaluation process a success. There are multiple jobs that are available for the parents that are familiar with softball and the parents that are not as familiar with softball.
We are asking parents to consider volunteering for both Saturdays. We understand it is a big commitment but it would allow our evaluations to be consistent for each and every player, regardless of which Saturday they evaluate on. Each shift is 4 hours long and will fulfill your volunteer requirement for the year.
Evaluations will be held on Saturday, February 22nd and Saturday, February 29th at Crescent Pointe Field House.
We also require U14 and High School players to help as ambassadors. This is a very popular program and the young players really appreciate having an experienced player to guide them through the process.
Please click on the links below to access the sign-up pages: (These links are inactive but will be active approximately 2 weeks prior to the evaluations.)
Admin Positions – This position helps with the registration desk and evaluation data entry. You will greet players and their parents, collect cheques, hand out pinny numbers and assist in entering the evaluation scores into a computer.
Station Attendants – In this position, you will assist in setting up or taking down the stations for the evaluations. You will also be helping by keeping the players organized, showing them the objectives of the station and ensuring all players get through the station in the allotted time.
Objective Evaluators – As an Objective Evaluator you will be EVALUATING the player's outcomes at your assigned station. For example - the number of targets hit, number or hits/location of the hit. This position would require a minimal amount of softball knowledge.
Ambassadors (U14 & HS Players Only) – As an Ambassador, you will take the players from the registration table, help them get ready, lead them through a warm-up and then take them through all of the stations.
Thank you in advance for all your assistance
