Coach Training Information

Calgary Minor Softball requires all coaches U9 and above to have either the Community Softball course OR attend a Calgary Minor Softball coaching clinic. Any team going to provincials needs at least one Community Softball certified coach.

​

The Community Softball course is fundamental for all coaches and SBR strongly recommends all coaches take this course. SBR is not hosting a clinic this year but there are multiple being offered, including one in Calgary. See the Softball Alberta link below for more information.

SBR also requires all coaches to attend an SBR orientation session.

​

All coaches also need the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course.

​

SBR will pay for the Community Softball, Competition Introduction and Respect in Sport for Activity Leader courses for coaches that coach with SBR in 2023.
